Artist byeol-hee reinterprets traditional objects through ceramics, creating new value in a modern context. Focusing on tea utensils inspired by the soban—a traditional Korean tray table—she offers a fresh take on heritage by transforming this typically wooden object into durable ceramic forms. By doing so, she overcomes the limitations of wood, such as decay and heat sensitivity, and opens up new possibilities for integrating tradition into contemporary daily life.
