Artist Seokjun Yoon reimagines the forms and textures of Joseon white porcelain through a contemporary lens. Rooted in the belief that “the most Korean is the most global,” his work breathes new life into traditional objects that have faded from modern use, while also translating everyday items—once absent from ceramics—into distinctly Korean expressions in clay.
Working primarily on the potter’s wheel, he values generous, flowing curves and pursues a subtle, low-gloss finish that balances practicality with quiet elegance.
